Remember, this is your new beginning. By identifying past family roles and patterns, you can move from "just surviving" to living abundantly. It is a process going forward from your first step and we are here to help you learn self-awareness, self-discovery, and most importantly: you matter!

According to Pia Mellody, recovery is not about changing who you are, but about letting go of who you are not. Life is not about being perfect. It's having the resources and tools for personal growth, transformational change and realizing it is okay to be perfectly imperfect
|
Practice actually living in recovery. There is still more to learn. There will be still be more opportunities to practice living in your functional adult self. Surviving is what you did in childhood. Living is what you do as a functional adult.

Based on Pia Mellody's work in codependency, boundaries, and the effects of childhood relational trauma on emotional development; our five-day outpatient retreat utilizes Post Induction Therapy (PIT), an eclectic therapeutic approach which delivers transformational change. The retreat focus is on personal growth, self-actualization, personal and professional success in forming and maintaining healthy relationships. We work with people to raise awareness of how past family roles and family systems influence their current behaviors and relationships.
A life that lacks joy
A life that is out of balance Have experienced adverse events Less than nurturing childhood Current relationship struggles Are having relationship issues Family members with mental health challenges Family members with addiction challenges If you feel unmotivated, stuck in life Your goals feel unobtainable Experienced childhood adverse events |
There are four identified problem areas our retreat week will address, in terms of etiology: childhood trauma, cores issues, addiction and mood disorders, and adult relational issues. What we perceive, think, or make up about incoming data is influenced by our history, and if that history was distorted or skewed because of dysfunctional family experiences our reality may need reevaluated to create a healthier mindset. The willingness to change our ideas when we hear information that is a greater truth is necessary. By identifying these core issues, healing past wounds, practicing healthy affirmations, you will develop a functional and emotionally balanced adult.
Our 5-day outpatient retreats will explore in a safe and supportive environment the origins that fuels self-defeating behaviors such as addictions, trauma, mood disorders, and troubling relationships. Childhood wounding up to age 18 is approached with compassion and skills are taught in order to create a healthier and happier self.
You will learn how to identify the childhood roots of your adult behaviors. You will understand how your core issues, Secondary symptoms and relational problem were set up in childhood therefore leading to codependence in adulthood. The biggest understanding we want you to leave with is the belief that the Nature of the Precious Child and the Nature of the Functional Adult are the same: We are inherently valuable and perfectly imperfect. All individuals, no matter their strengths and their weaknesses embody those two characteristics. You will come to understand how your relational problems you experienced in childhood set up your codependence in adulthood.
Retreats are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm for adults 21 years of age and older. Each day you will receive daily intense group therapy, experience and express genuine ups and downs, exercise mental and emotional protection and containment, how to incorporate healthy outlets to help you stay emotionally regulated and present in your body with awareness of your thoughts.
